Hawzah News Agency- Speaking on Saturday at the second international conference “The School of Martyr General Soleimani: The Luminous Path of Resistance,” held at the Aftab-e Velayat Hotel, Samayeh Najafabadi, representative of the Kalimis (jews) in Iranian parliament, highlighted the late commander’s decisive role in consolidating Iran’s national security and strengthening the axis of resistance throughout the region.
He stressed that on the eve of the anniversary of Martyr Soleimani’s assassination, it is essential to revisit his strategic legacy and moral standing, which transcended borders and political factions.
Pillar of Iran’s National Security
Najafabadi described Martyr Soleimani as a central pillar of Iran’s national security architecture, noting that his efforts were not confined to defending Iran’s territorial integrity but extended to safeguarding regional stability.
“Martyr Soleimani succeeded in preserving cohesion and unity among nations, not only within Iran but also across the region, including Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, and Palestine, while confronting Zionist aggression and organized terrorism,” he said.
He underlined that one of the general’s most significant achievements was leading the fight against the Daesh terrorist group and preventing its infiltration into Iranian territory. “These courageous actions shielded Iran from trans-regional threats and ensured lasting internal security,” Najafabadi added.
Distinguishing Religion from Zionism
The parliamentarian also emphasized the necessity of distinguishing Judaism as an ancient divine religion from Zionism as a modern political and colonial project.
“Today, regrettably, some groups that outwardly claim Islam cooperate with Zionism. This represents a serious threat to Islamic unity,” he said, calling for solidarity among followers of all religions and nations to confront such divisive agendas.
Lessons from Afghanistan and the Spirit of Resistance
Referring to Afghanistan’s historical resistance to foreign occupation, Najafabadi said the Afghan people’s struggle against the Soviet invasion and later against US forces demonstrates the decisive role of national unity.
“Despite poverty and immense hardship, the Afghan nation stood firm through cohesion and shared purpose. This experience offers an important lesson and a model for the Islamic Ummah in facing common enemies,” he noted.
Soleimani’s Moral and Strategic Legacy
Reviewing the era of the Sacred Defense, Najafabadi said Martyr Soleimani regarded the defense of Iran not merely as a professional responsibility but as a moral and historical obligation.
“Even in the most difficult circumstances, he combined courage with responsibility and consistently placed Iran’s interests above all personal considerations,” he said.
According to Najafabadi, the late commander forged a unique model by linking power with morality and bravery with rationality, shaping a conscious and ethical approach to patriotism and national security.
He added that Martyr Soleimani’s understanding of security extended beyond Iran’s borders. “He believed that external threats, if left unchecked, would inevitably undermine internal peace. This is precisely the strategic vision that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has repeatedly emphasized,” she said.
A Unifying National Figure
Najafabadi concluded by stressing that honoring Martyr Soleimani is, in essence, honoring the shared security of all Iranians.
“He did not belong to any particular faction or group. He united diverse hearts, beliefs, and identities under the concept of Iran,” he said. “While his martyrdom was a profound loss, his school of thought and strategic vision remain alive and continue to inspire the Iranian nation.”
Paying tribute to his legacy, he said, “The path of Martyr Soleimani is a wise and enduring path for preserving Iran as the common home of all Iranians. His memory will remain luminous, and his example will continue to guide the future of the nation.”
